This post is gonna be all about the take down of my bantu knots in order to get a bantu knot out.
I wore my bantu knots for about 6 days before unraveling them to wear my hair curly and both were really cute!
This style will definitely be in rotation because me and my husband both loved them. Super low maintenance…no maintenance really, unless you unravel the bantu knots nightly to get better sleep.
• For the bantu knots, I first put each section into a two strand twist and twirled it around my finger until it started to knot on its own. Don’t give yourself a headache trying to wrap it though.
Products used:
-Taliah Waajid Protective Style Strengthening Leave-In Conditioner
-Taliah Waajid Green Apple & Aloe Curl Elixir
• This is a great combination. Made MY hair feel amazing and coated my strands evenly •
Even with my hair being in the bantu knots for 6 days, when I took them out, my hair still felt great! The Green Apple and Aloe styling products are great for those who say they need something THICK / HEAVY for their hair.
The Take Down of My Bantu Knots – Bantu Knot out
• First you want to take all the rubber bands or bobby pins out of your hair
•Take the knots down to reveal your twists
• Untwist / unravel each twist one time.
• Separate each section until you get your desired fullness. Finger coil the ends to preserve the curl after separation.
• Fluff and fluff and fluff.
•Style hair as you’d like.
Tip: Stay on top of your trims because a style like this will definitely tell on you! Where are my scissors?
Do you ever wear bantu knots or bantu knot outs?
Until my next tutorial…
