So, when it comes to hairstyles, I love a good style that is really quick, yet really cute. This double flat twist hairstyle is a great every day hair style and it can be worn for all occasions. Of course you can accessorize it and make your own. This style and my updo are my two go to’s.
Products Used
For my blow out, I used Mielle Organics Thermal & Heat Protectant Spray with Mongongo Oil. It’s more of a creamy consistency than the usual serum type heat protectants so at first I was like, hmmmm, I hope this doesn’t leave a weird film on my hair that is wayyyyy too thick for blow drying, but it didn’t. It also comes with a spritzer top, which can be a hit or miss for certain products, but it sprayed a mist like it was supposed to instead of a stream. It was pretty nice and left my hair light and not weighed down.
To moisturize my hair for the 2 flat twists, I used TréLuxe’s Curl Spreme 4-in-1 Hydrating Creme.
The Process
To get this style, you can blow out / stretch your hair or just wear it with your natural hair texture. For me, this style is way easier to achieve on stretched, blown out hair. If you want a more “polished” look, I would blow out your hair.
-Follow along with steps in between pictures-
• Next you want to decide where you want your part; middle or side. I always go with a side part. extend part to nape of neck.
• Pin one side out of the way. Flat twist the first side as close as you can to your edges.
• Pin finished flat twist out of the way.
• Once each side is flat twisted, pull one twist at a time, to the opposite side, overlapping the twists. Use bobby pins to secure.
• Done. Make sure to tuck ends so they can’t be seen and adjust twists if needed. Use bobby pins to pin down lumps/ bumps.

I love this hairstyle and I doubt think I’d ever have come up with it myself. Thank you for sharing!
