Firstly, Naturally Smitten’s products were created exclusively for type 4 hair texture, which is denser than other hair textures and also more fragile, believe it or not. For this style I used 3 of Naturally Smitten’s products; the tangle-free pudding, hydrating hair custard, and the moisturizing hair butter. These 3 products have no mineral oil, sulfates, parabens, or silicones. I am going to list the 3 products along with their use according to the description on the back of the jars.
Tangle-free pudding – A light moisturizer and detangler. Can be used year-round as a leave-in conditioner or setting lotion.
- Hydrating hair custard – Moisturizer that adds shine while giving definition. It is thick and concentrated, making it great for humid or cold weather.
- Moisturizing hair butter – (SUPER THICK) Sealant. Recommended for porous hair and dry, itchy scalp. Keeps natural hair hydrated by locking in moisture.
Dry twist outs are great for people who don’t want a lot of frizz. I don’t mind a little frizz, so I usually do my styles on wet hair. It lasts longer and has more definition.
I just wanted to test doing a twist out on dry hair, but it definitely didn’t last long.
