It had been years since I’ve eaten an ice cream sandwich. When we moved back to Michigan at the end of 2018, we stayed with Derrick’s grandma, for almost a year. During our time of staying with her, she always had the Purple Cow NEAPOLITAN Ice Cream Sandwiches by Meijer on deck. Those were so good, but chocolate isn’t my favorite ice cream flavor, so I would rip the sandwiches in half and eat the chocolate part first. After I ate the chocolate portion, it was so hard to decide whether I like the strawberry or vanilla better… what a choice, cuz you always wanna save the best for last.
Lately we’ve just been buying the vanilla and they’re just as good.
Side note…do you still call Meijer, MEIJERS… with an “s” at the end? I still know so many people who do.
Of course the boys like them…and I usually just rip one in 1/2 and split it between them both.
I have to stop myself from eating the whole box. I can eat 3-4 in a row, but I usually stop at 3. I’m also usually trying to hide and eat them cuz I just don’t wanna share, ha!
If I don’t push the box of ice cream sandwiches to the back of the freezer, my youngest will open the freezer and take them all out and start eating them…it happened 2-3 times. He knows how to open the freezer, but not the fridge on the side by side.
We always keep a box, or two, in the freezer!
