When it comes to braid outs, I got the technique down pact. I have a video showing you just how I get my bomb braid outs and I walk you through it step by step.
Products Used
These are my go to for all things braid outs.
TréLuxe Curl Renew & Restore Gentle Cleansing Rinse – This really is a gentle, yet effective cleanser. I love to use this cleanser on my son, who’s a little over 1, but I started using it on him at 6 months.
TréLuxe Untie the Knot Nourishing Leave – in Conditioner – Make sure you use lots of water
TréLuxe Curl Supreme 4-in-1 Hydrating Creme – Make sure you use lots of water
The Process
Of course you want to start with freshly shampoo’d and conditioned hair.
I ALWAYS do my braid outs on wet hair; that is how you will get the most definition.
-Follow along with steps in between pictures-
• After I rinse out my conditioner, I apply the leave in and creme to each medium sized section that will be braided, not just the onto the bigger sections.
• When braiding, there are 3 strands.
• At the base (root) of each braid, so you don’t see all the parts, make your first strand of your braid horizontal across the top, and then the text two strands right through the middle. It should look like a “T.”
• At the end of each braid, use a perm rod to curl the ends; roll your hair over itself twice before starting to spiral your hair onto the rod. I use perm rods because no one wants scraggly ends.
• Continue this process until all of your hair is braided and rodded.
•After hair is completely – 100% – dried, take out the perm rods.
• Unbraid each braid carefully.
•Separate and fluff / pick as desired.
And that there is how you get the most defined braid out.
I was sent these products. I use them all the time cuz braid outs are my thing.
