Live braid lessons / Live twist lessons on Zoom.
I have a new service to share with you all! Yay!
I offer LIVE, one-on-one, BEGINNER, braid and twist lessons via Zoom (a video chat platform). We will both be on camera; think… FaceTime. I will be walking you through the entire process as if we were sitting side by side.
Stop Struggling
“I really want to learn how to braid”… “I really want to learn how to twist”… “I’ve tried and I don’t get it!” If you’ve said this to yourself or someone else, let me help you!
If you’ve watched countless tutorials on how to braid and/or twist, and just aren’t getting the hang of it, book a one-on-one lesson with me.
I’ve read comments under braiding/twisting videos of people being so frustrated that they couldn’t figure out the technique that they were to the point of crying and/or screaming, that they’ve tried for years and never got it, or that no one ever taught them growing up and now that they’re older, people may make them feel a way since they don’t know how to braid or twist, so they’re left scouring the internet in search of someone to teach them.
Let’s be real… most tutorials you’ll find don’t explain braiding/twisting well and definitely don’t give you the angles you need in order to completely understand the concept(s)…and that’s where my lessons come in.
These lessons are for you if:
* My lessons are targeted at girls, women, and dads*

Braid and Twist Lesson Options – What I Teach
I teach the basics of braiding and twisting. All of my options are currently “singles.” Meaning loose braids and twists that hang freely and are not attached to the scalp.
These lessons are NOT for cornrows, flat twists, or box braids/knotless braids where you add extension braiding hair.
All braiding lessons are for plait braids ( singles / loose) where the braids are not attached to the head (cornrows). These are NOT cornrow lessons.
All twisting lessons are for loose/single two-strand twists and rope/senegalese twists ( NOT flat twists where the twists are flat against the scalp ). These are NOT flat twist lessons.
You will have the option of learning as if you were braiding or twisting someone else’s hair OR if you want to learn to braid or twist your own hair.
Braid and Twist Lesson Options
3 braiding options – All plaits / singles
Option 1: Regular plait – overhand
Option 2: Regular underhand – used in knotless braiding and with box braids involving adding kanekalon braiding hair as extensions.
Option 3: Wrap underhand – used in knotless braiding and with box braids involving adding kanekalon braiding hair as extensions.
2 twisting options – singles
Option 1: Regular two-strand twists where you smooth the hair and then twist
Option 2: Rope twist / Senegalese twists- where you smooth and roll the hair before twisting.
How can I practice on my own head if I have a protective style in?
If you are wearing a protective style and want to take a lesson as if you were practicing on your on your own hair, you still can!! You will need a fabric headband that is a full circle or a scarf and some braiding hair. You may also practice using a detangled wig.
What do I need to bring to my lesson?
•You need to have something or someone to practice on or with: A human model, a mannequin head or braiding hair
•Combs
•Water spray bottle
•If practicing with braiding hair, you’ll need to attach it to something – watch this video to figure out some places that may work for you!
•OPTIONAL styling product – gel, cream, or foam/mousse
•Phone tripod or something to sit your phone up on
