A baby swing isn’t a necessity, but it definitely helps when your baby is fussy or if you need to get things done around the house or just want to sit and watch tv for a while.

Swing Safety: Tiny babies should use the seat in the most reclined position… as their airways could be blocked from their heads falling since they don’t have the full functionality of their necks. My recommendation for smaller babies is this exact neck pillow… not the head support….just detach the two. The part that bends around their neck is very slim, so it does not push their head forward
•Experts recommend moving your baby to a firm, flat surface as soon as possible if they fall asleep.
•Use the harness straps correctly.
•When your baby is old enough to get around, find a way to secure the cord so it does not become a strangulation hazard.
As with all baby products, you should supervise your baby and check on them often
Swings can be very relaxing for babies and I loved our Ingenuity InLighten Cradling Swing. My mom bought it for us and we used it for both of our boys.

Without moving the base of the swing, the seat rotates 180˚ for 3 swing directions. You can have your baby swinging from side to side or front to back…in either direction.
There is a button that you can press so that the seat reclines or so you can use in a more, upright position.
In the clear holding area, you can attach your phone so you can use the mp3 connectivity feature. It is clear on the top and the bottom. You can play your own curated playlist or your baby can watch your phone by looking up.
It has a spinning mobile that lights up, spins, and plays music… 8 melodies and 3 nature sounds. The volume can be adjusted.
They can see their reflection when they look up.
There is a timer, which is super handy and can be set to 30, 45 or 60 minutes.
There are 6 speed settings….6! The lights will let you know which setting you are currently on. If only 1 light is lit up, you are at the slowest speed. If all of the lights are lit up, you are at the fastest speed.
The harness straps can be adjusted for the height of your baby and can be loosened and tightened. Make sure the snaps click UNDER the seat. There is 1 on each side and 1 at either the top or bottom that goes across.
There are two short cords that you will attach… you are connecting the power from the top half of the swing to the power. There is also a longer cord that you plug into the wall.
It comes with 3 plug adapters for other countries which I thought was a really nice touch
Options
Some models come with a detachable rocker
There are smaller, more compact swings, but if you have the space and budget for this swing, I would definitely recommend.
