The gist…
A lot has happened in one month. It’s so amazing to see his little baby accomplishments.
He rolled over! Yay!
He loves to stare at his hands, feet and has finally noticed the mobile on his swing. He reaches for his feet but hasn’t gotten to them yet. So close!
And boy is he talkative! Sometimes, if I start talking to him in baby talk…sounds, not actual words, he will talk back, and we have us a little conversation. He even talks himself to sleep with his hands in his mouth. I think it’s the cutest, funniest thing.
He spits his tongue out.
He lifts his head so high during tummy time and his legs even come up. Looks like he’s about to start doin’ the worm.
He absolutely loves to kick his feet and talks while doing it. The kicks are so intense sometimes that I can barely change his diaper.
I’ve been goin’ to town on his cradle cap. I just sit there and pick at it, very gently of course. It doesn’t take much for it to come up. It’s even easier if his scalp is wet, but looks gross. He gets so frustrated when he’s hungry, that he scratches himself and pulls his hair. I had been wondering why underneath his nails were always dirty, and as I started to mess with his cradle cap, I realized that was the cause.
Friends?
Yep, he has one friend…Her name is Lucy. She has a pretty strong grip
Sleep
We’re still working on the sleep thing.
Eating/Drinking
Breastfeeding is good again…for the most part. Just remember, it’s not supposed to hurt.
Bathing
He is a little chunky baby, and I’m not used to rolls, lol, so when we wash him up, sometimes crevices can be missed, but once I realize they have been missed, by Derrick or myself, we are sure not to miss them again.
*Tip: Make sure you take a Q-tip and clean the top fold of your baby’s ear. I was surprised at how dirty those things were the first time I cleaned them, lol. I clean them often now.
His skin is so dry. The Dr. said it could be eczema, but I don’t know and I don’t think she knows either. He gets dry patches and his skin, chest and stomach often break out with red bumpy patches. He also gets these tiny red bumps in the folds of his arms.
And another thing: who’d a thunk that baby’s feet could stink? Pee-yew! He has sweaty hands and feet, so he gets toe jam and those suckers stink! I hope the sweaty palms thing doesn’t stick. You ever go to shake someone’s hand that has sweaty palms and they make you wait because they have to wipe them on their clothes first…uhhhhhh, yeah.
Outfit
Isn’t his outfit so cute?! It’s a 3-piece set by Carters. We have a ton of Carter’s clothes and I love them.

Overall
Things change so quickly and he’s learning new things all the time. I’m really just letting him figure it all out on his own.

AWESOME! JUST MARVELOUS! Is this you? I AM SO EXCITED FOR YOU, I AM TRULY IMPRESSED!
Use mild gentle soap, I recommend phisoderm. That was what was used on me, use AD ointment, even in his hair. Love you.
